Hello! I’m Kayla.

Thank you for stopping by. My life is always in motion and it never comes to a stand still. I began taking photos when I was very young, as a hobby, then slowly began capturing special moments for various friends and family. Before I knew it, my hobby turned into something more than I could have ever imagined. 

MY WORK & STYLE

I’m a Nikon girl. I shoot on Nikon Bodies with a mixture of Nikon & Sigma Art Lenses. I love a soft sunset or a cloudy overcast with the potential of the sky to open up at any second. Light & breezy gives all the feels throughout my portraits, but dark and moody can really tell a story. I am game for any and all moods this world decides to cast on the day of our session.

Lifestyle + Authentic

I won’t leave you standing around on during your session. If you need posing, I will make it happen. However, most often the in-between moments that i’m capturing is what you will fall in love with most throughout your gallery,

Clients & Friendships

You matter to me. We don’t have to be besties, but I take my client relationships personal. I spend time documenting you and your family and I want you to love everything about the entire experience. When our session is over, I love keeping in contact with my clients, and if we do become besties, its meant to be.

More About Me…..

Being a mom is my favorite. I have 3 incredible kids and an amazing husband who keeps everyone alive while i’m off photographing. I am always on the go whether its to and from sessions or being a professional taxi driver for my kids.

On Location

My goal in capturing your special moments is to make your vision a reality through my lens. My work will look as natural, emotional, and effortless as possible throughout your portraits.. Most of my sessions take place about 90 minutes before sunset, and I promise it will so be worth it. Fall is my most precious time to shoot, because its my favorite season. I love discovering new places to shoot so i’m always up for new adventure wherever the yellow brick road goes.

For newborn sessions, I offer an in-home lifestyle sessions, which means I will come to your home and document your family in your element. I have many years of experience with newborn photography, but I can without a doubt say, that I love and have found my style within that atmosphere most.

WHY INVEST IN PHOTOGRAPHY?

Why? Photography is a luxury, YES, but often times we put off having portraits taken for various financial reasons, especially with our current economy / post covid. Over these past couple years, I have had family and friends experience great loss….. The sad truth that gets brought up in conversation most— I wish I would have had more portraits of us all together……

While I still need to make a living and run a profitable business, the heart and compassion, I have for my clients during these hard economic times (I am right with you)…. I will continue to provide portraits at lower costs to ensure accessibility to more people who need to preserve memorable moments through photography. My cost of business has not changed, and I am ok with that. If working a little more for a little less, means more people can have portraits to look back on when that’s all that’s left. I am humbled and honored to provide for you. I miss my pap and nin everyday and what I would give to of captured more of our time together……..
